Welcome to Thrive in the Kitchen, our monthly cooking series focused on easy recipes that promote overall health and wellness for those living with cancer.

This month, our Thrive in the Kitchen team shows you how to make a Vitamin C-packed, immune system-boosting Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Perfect for a refreshing snack or a healthy way to start your day, this tasty treat is also high in fiber, Vitamin D and calcium — great for bone health and lowering cholesterol.

Chef's Tips

  • You can use fresh or frozen fruit for this recipe. Frozen fruit will keep the smoothie cold and reduce the amount of fluid you need to add in.

  • Add your favorite protein powder or nut butter to the recipe to boost your protein intake.
