Genitourinary cancers account for about 16 percent of all new cancer cases. Genitourinary cancers (GU cancers) comprise malignancies of the bladder, kidneys, prostate, testes and penis. Prostate cancer is the most common, with more than 164,000 new cases expected to be diagnosed this year, according to the National Cancer Institute. Bladder cancer is the second most common GU cancer, with 81,000 new diagnoses expected this year.

Genitourinary Cancer Review Board
Sarasota Memorial’s team of cancer specialists meets weekly to review patient cases and to collaborate on the best treatment strategies for each case.
